The MD of Medbury Healthcare, Dr. Itunu Akinware, took the stage at the Pharmaceutical Wholesalers and Distributors Association of Nigeria (PWDAN) Annual Conference & Exhibition, sharing her insights on pharmaceutical supply and the value chain.
The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Enhancing Access to Quality, Safe, Effective, and Affordable Medicines: The Role of the Pharma Distributor/Wholesaler in Nigeria.’
Regarding the conference’s objective, the Chairman of PWDAN, Pharm. Oghenechuko Omaruaye, stated that the annual event brings stakeholders in the pharmaceutical supply chain together to brainstorm solutions to the sector’s challenges.
Furthermore, Omaruaye mentioned that the conference aims to combat the distribution of fake and substandard medicines that harm Nigerians’ health. She added that PWDAN, through its partnership with organizations such as Medbury Pharmaceuticals, aims to ensure Nigerians have access to the right drugs throughout the supply chain.
